Anjuna Beach is known for Wednesday Market called "Anjuna flea market". Wednesday Flea market concept is famous among the tourists and local people. Throughout the season November to March, Anjuna flea market is held at Anjuna beach from around 09:00am to 06:00pm. The concept of flea market was started by the hippies in early 80s, when they started gathering in Anjuna and start selling and buying electronic items and other stuff to the locals. During the Wednesday flea market, people come from all over the Goa. Setting up the market under the palm trees and next to the sea, this place has fascinating atmosphere.

One can buy anything from a second hand bike to electronic items like cellular phones, cameras, a good selection of jewelry, precious stones, crystals, handicrafts and other items at the flea market. There is a good selection of clothes like Rajasthani,Nepali,Tibetan and kashmiri goods are availabe in the market.One can have hair cut and get designable tattoos painted in any style.one needs to be good at bargaining skills to get the right bet at the stalls.You may walk away with good stuff at throw away prices.
