Goa is the second smallest Indian state in its western region.Panaji (Panjim) is the state capital located on the banks of the Mandovi river and Mapusa, Margao, Vasco are the other major towns. It is located on the western coast of India in the coastal belt known as Konkan and surrounded by state of Maharashtra in the north and by karnataka in the east and south while the Arabian Sea forms its western coast.The geographical location of Goa is between 15-48-00" North to 14-53-54" North Latitude and 74- 20-13" East to 73-40-33" East Longitudes.

Goa is divided into two region North Goa and South Goa.Goa is known for it's beaches and night life. It is the tourist hub of India with nearly two million tourists every year.Goa is today the most preferred holiday destination of the International as well as the Indian traveller.

One can visit Goa any time but ideally but Starting October to March end is the best time to visit goa .

If you are looking for greenery and quite environment in goa,then month of June to August is the best time during the peak of monsoons.

How To Reach Goa

By Air:

The Dabolim International Airport is the main Airbase in Goa. It is located about 29 km from the state capital Panaji. Regular flights from not only Mumbai, Bangalore and the other important cities of India, but also International Cities of U.K. and Germany ply regularly to and from Goa.

By Train:

There are two major Railheads at Goa- One at Panjim and the other at Madgaon. There are also two railway stations at Konkan- Karmali and Thivam. Karmali is usually availed by the tourists on their way to Panjim and Thivam is usually opted forgoing to Mapusa or Calangute. All these stations of Goa are well linked to most of the important cities of India.

By Road:

Goa can be easily accessed by road from most of the major destinations in India. The National Highways of 4A, 17, and 17A connect Goa to different places in and around via comfortable and motorable roads.

The Kadamba Bus Stand at Panaji is the major inter-state bus station within Goa. There are regular bus services run by the Maharashtra, Goa and Karnataka state transport service.
