Located in Rajasthan 130 Kms from Jaipur near Sawai Madhopur, Ranthambhore national park is world renowned wildlife sanctuary known for tiger conservation and other wild animals.

Established in 1955,this reserve is known as a Gaming sanctuary as Maharajas of Jaipur used this sanctuary as a hunting grounds.In 1980, this reserve gets a status of Tiger Reserve in the country.Spread with an area of 392 sq kms,it is considered to be the best place to spot the Bengal Tigers.Park is spread over an area of 1,334 sq kms with covered area of 392 sq kms and rest is neighboring sanctuaries - the Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary (113 sq km) and the Kaila Devi Sanctuary (670 sq km).

Ranthambore National Park is considered to be the best place for tiger spotting in India.One can find tigers, elephants, deer, chital, sambar, leopard, peacock, wild boar, hyena and other animals easily inside the park. It's a perfect place for bird watching as park is known for different species of bird. People travel from around the world visit Ranthambore National Park for bird watching and to track tigers. The core buffer area of the park is restricted area and nobody is allowed to enter the buffer area.There are 10 safari zones where one can enter into the park.Limited number of vehicles are allowed on each safari zone.
