The Church of St. Francis of Assisi is located in Old Goa and 9 Km away from Panaji. and is situated in the same complex, where Se Cathedral is situated. The structure is lime-plastered and built of laterite blocks. The church has a nave with three chapels on either side, two altars in the transept and a main altar, a choir and faces west. The internal buttress walls separates the chapels and supports the gallery on top have frescoes showing intricate floral designs. The main altar is Baroque with Corinthian features.
