Vagator Beach

Vagator beach is know for it's white sand and black rocks.It is situated in north goa near mapusa road next to the north of the anjuna beach and 22kms from panaji.This beach is less crowded compared to calangute and anjuna beach.You can take Beach walks and enjoy the sunrise or sunset.There is lush greenery all around and the swaying palms and aquamarine water of the Arabian Sea offers a breathtaking view and is overlooked by the 500-year-old Portuguese fort.Vagator is divided into three beaches, North Vagator, Tel Aviv Beach and Ozrant Beach. The three beaches attracts to a large number of British and Israeli tourists.

Vagator is split into two main beaches by a seaside headland that holds the car park and lots of stalls. As you face the sea, on your right is the North Vagator Beach and on your left the Ozrant Beach also known as Mini-Vagator Beach. In between the two, the cliff immediately to the left of the car park is the tiny beach cutt off from Ozrant. This is Middle Vagator Beach known as Tel Aviv Beach. All three beaches play host to huge numbers of Israeli and British tourists, refloected in the many shop signs and restaurant menus in Hebrew and English and ravers from across India and the globe.

North Vagator Beach is safe for swimming where Ozrant is not safe as the rocks here create an unpredictable undertow. Lifeguards are available at Vagator Beach but not at Ozrant.

Accomodation At Vagator Beach

There are few guesthouses and houses on rent to stay at vagator beach.Anjuna and calangute are more best option to stay.At Vagator beach one can find cafes and restaurants on the main road that lead to the beach.

How To Reach Vagator Beach

The best way to explore goa is to hire the self driven scooter or cars.They are easily available in goa.

Location:Vagator beach is the northernmost beach of Bardez Taluka, on the bank of Chapora river.

By Air :Vagator is located 51 km from the Dabolim airport, which is connected to major Indian cities through a number of regular flights. Buses ply regularly from Dabolim to Calangute from where you can take any of the local means of transport to reach Colva.

By Rail :Margao railway station is situated 48 km from Vagator. Local buses and taxis are available just outside the railway station take you to Vagator.
