Anjuna Beach is one of the most happening beach in goa. Situated 18 kms away from Panaji, adjacent to the Chapora fort, it is one of the most popular beaches in Goa. Anjuna Beach is known for Rave Parties specially when the moon is full and the sea is silvery. A sprawl of restaurants can be found on the beach stretching towards the famous flea market at the extreme south end of the beach. the flea market is on Wednesdays but every other day of the week too see a constant whirl of business during the season time.
Anjuna Beach is especially popular on Wednesdays when a Wednesday flea market is held on the beach's sandy shores. It is also known for Trance and Rave parties. It is a hub of international tourists and the main reasons of popularity remain the night parties, restaurants and the long stretch of coconut groves. Anjuna Beach is dotted with shacks serving food and alcohol at reasonable prices. It is also an ideal place for full-moon parties held especially during Christmas and New Year. The best time is between November to March to visit Anjuna beach.

The concept of flea market was started by the hippies in early 80s, when they started gathering in Anjuna and start selling and buying electronic items and other stuff to the locals. During the Wednesday flea market, people come from all over the Goa. Setting up the market under the palm trees and next to the sea, this place has fascinating atmosphere.
Water Sports At Anjuna Beach
With all those rocks in the sea, water sports in Anjuna are limited to its southern end. What Anjuna does offer on calm days is some snorkelling around the rock in the sea. There are mullet, parrotfish and groupers to be spotted, if the water visibility is 2m or more.
